Week 3-23 Things Kansas
I have actually participated in a webinar regarding Interlibrary Loans in Newton on 10/28/10. We were never able to actually see Rhonda Machlin, but when she made references to changes on Agent ILL forms, we were able to see the forms! We did definitely have some issues that day! However, with some fine tuning, I believe this will be very vital in the future. Most travel budgets have been cut and this is a way of obtaining essential information in the comfort of our offices. As part of the assignment this week, I did visit an archived webinar called Kansas Tax Form Webinar from December 18, 2009. This was a Wimba webinar and the moderator was Larua DeBaun from NEKLS. Two representatives from the IRS spoke about the benefits of filing electronically. One of the primary reasons being IRS budget cuts including the cost of printing and the hiring of temporary workers. Paper filings are being delayed anywhere from 10-24 weeks or more.

23 Things Kansas-Facebook
I have learned a couple of things I didn't know about Facebook-for example I can organize my friends in groups such as Bible Study group or Book Club group. However, I am still not quite sure how to prioritize my lists so that certain groups come up at the same time. I will be working on this the rest of the week. I did link three other blogs to my Facebook, including BCC's library blog where I work!

23 Things Kansas-Blogging
I already have a blog from a previous 2.0 program, but I never use it. I need to be refreshed on all the tools, but I am going to use my same blog. It is always exciting to me to learn new things, but sometimes I get too busy to use them!
